Last night brought on not one, but TWO events that brought the best in beauty: SAG Awards and Miss Universe. These shows overlapped, and switching between channels to catch all the looks definitely became a workout! I’m here to give you a brief round-up of the best beauty looks from each of the star-studded events!
SCREEN ACTORS GUILD AWARDS
This Red Carpet was absolutely packed with designer gowns, signature styles, and celeb fab before the main event. It may not be up in the ranks with the Oscars or Emmys, but the beauty and fashion did not disappoint! Below are just a handful of my favorite looks from last night:
This La La Land star kept her look simple, yet dazzling, with a pale pink lip and glittery eye. Her pout is sooo perfect, she must use a lip treatment! Emma took home the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role (La La Land).
This Fabletics founder (and one of my favorite actresses) looked fabulous on that Red Carpet. That slicked-back style and bold lip are to die for!
For having a baby just last summer, my girl Chrissy is workin’ it! You can’t see one single pore in her gorgeous fresh-faced look. Her beauty routine must be the culprit!
Not only is Taraji a stunner with her asymmetrical bob and sheer chiffon ballgown, but she helped take home the award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture (Hidden Figures).
How much more beautiful can Kaley Cuoco get (especially with her hair transformation)? I loved her more natural makeup and wispy hair – they left way for her always-glowing skin. Flawless!
As usual, this show literally had me on the edge of my seat until the end! Not only did Steve Harvey return to redeem his hosting snafu from last year, but those 86 ladies definitely stepped up the game when it came to beauty! Let’s take a look at some of the final looks from the Phillipines event: (*SPOILERS* ahead if you didn’t catch the winner!)
Miss Brazil Raissa Santana had the best look in my book last night! I loved how her confidently beautiful smile and walk made her stand out among the rest! She made it into the final 13.
How could I not include our own Miss USA, Deshauna Barber? Her evening gown was absolutely gorgeous! And, check out her skin…SO smooth. She made it into the top 9.
Miss Colombia Andrea Tovar was one of the final 3 contestants to rock a gold gown. She let Steve Harvey know exactly how her country felt about last year’s mix-up! This second runner-up showed off her bright skin by keeping her hair smoothed back.
Miss Haiti Raquel Pelissier became first runner-up to Miss Universe. I absolutely LOVED her sheer gown! Oh, and she was working that beauty mark, too.
Iris Mittenaere of France was named Miss Universe after strutting her stuff in a hot pink bikini and bedazzled gown. She plans to use this platform to promote oral hygiene, and we think great teeth and great skin are the perfect combo! Congratulations, Iris!
Phew, that was a lot to catch up on from one night! Which stars and beauties caught your eye last night? I’d love to hear your thoughts on their looks in the comments!
