Happy weekend, Enza beauties! With Valentine’s Day just a few days away, are your lips looking their best? To prep for this kissing holiday, I’ve found (and tested) 3 DIY lip scrubs that your lips will LOVE!
Exfoliation is the key to a smooth and supple pout. Just like you exfoliate your skin, you need to take care of your lips and slough off dry, dead, skin cells! This will make your makeup look sooooo much better, too! Here are my fave DIY lip scrubs:
Here’s what you need to make the Mint Lip Scrub
(recipe from one good thing):
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil (melted)
- 1/4 teaspoon honey
- 3-4 drop peppermint essential oil
Combine all ingredients in a small container to form a paste.
Here’s how to make the Brown Sugar Vanilla Lip Scrub
(recipe from College Fashion):
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon honey
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix together honey and olive oil. Add in brown sugar and vanilla and mix. Voila!
Here’s what you need to make the Chocolate Lip Scrub
(recipe from mnn):
- 3 tablespoons white granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract (I used almond!)
- Drizzle honey
Mix all ingredients in a container until a gritty paste forms. This one is SO yummy to lick off your lips!
After you’ve mixed the ingredients together for any of the scrubs above, apply gently with your finger onto your lips. Massage the scrub in circles over and around your lips for a minute or two. And don’t worry if you get any in your mouth – these recipes are great because all of the ingredients are edible!
After exfoliating, wipe mixture off with a fresh towel and follow up with Enza’s Lip Treatment for an extra collagen boost.
