5 BACK-TO-SCHOOL BEAUTY BASICS

Real talk: summer is ending, school is starting, and shorter days are around the corner. Now that that’s out of the way, let’s talk how you’re prepping for the months ahead! Okay okay, you’ve got your new supplies and outfits ready to go…but what about your beauty routine?? If you’re headed off for a semester on-campus or just need a few tips this season, I’ve got you covered for your BTS beauty basics:

Beauty Basics: Spot Extractor

ZIT-ZAPPER

Having this on the list is a no-brainer! With papers, finals, or just the holidays, this part of the year can be stressful as heck. A super-quick roll-on treatment will blast blemishes in no time flat – and, it fits in your purse or pocket! So, if your complexion isn’t the happiest in the fall months, keep one of these beauties on you at all times!

Beauty Basics: Concealer

GO-TO CONCEALER

If those late nights studying (AKA bingeing Gilmore Girls for the hundredth time) are starting to affect your earlier mornings, a good under-eye concealer is an absolute MUST. Dab on gently with your ring finger before you rush out to your first class or coffee date, and you’re set! If you need more help fighting tired or puffy eyes, reach for Enza! I am a huuuuge fan of the Anti-Puffiness Gelee.

Beauty Basics: Pore Extraction Masque

STRESS-FREE MASQUE

Because changes in weather, hormones, and routines are inevitable, your skin may show it. (Ugh, I know.) Why not grab your girls and spend the night IN with wine, a rom-com, and a calming face masque?! This one is perfect for unclogging pores and leaving skin oh-so-smooth. Hellooo, beautiful skin!

Beauty Basics: Nail Polish

DRAMATIC POLISH

While you’re waiting for your masque to set, add some moodiness into your beauty routine! A dark and brooding shade of nail polish could be just what you need to get through midterms (or at least those nights out on the town). If you know me, I am no artist when it comes to nail designs. I like to keep it simple, classic, and chic with one fall-worthy shade on tips and toes!

Beauty Basics: Dry Shampoo

DRY SHAMPOO

That Day 2 or 3 (or 4…) hair is no joke…and your dry shampoo shouldn’t be either. A quick spritz on your roots will absorb any oil and leave some fresher-smelling locks, but powders and residues are a no-no. A light, delicate-scented spray is my favorite option! Finding a bottle in a travel size is a plus (see my favorites below!), too. Go ahead and skip another shampoo day!
