Hope you’re having a fantastic week! Can you believe it’s already Thursday?! February is just flying by… But the winter season? Not so much. This cold, dry weather can really be a hassle toward your beauty routine, am I right? Let’s hope spring comes sooner rather than later! Until then, I’m here to share some top tips for curing dry skin.
You may have heard of this beauty trick before, but now more than ever is the perfect time to give it a try! Using a natural-bristle brush, gently exfoliate your skin in small, circular motions moving up from your feet, over your knees and thighs, all the way to your neck. Those dry spots are no match for this technique! Your body lotions and creams will go on sooo much smoother and last longer.
BONUS: Dry brushing improves circulation, causing your skin to look and feel firmer (buh-bye, cellulite!).
SHORTEN YOUR SHOWER
I know, nothing sounds more relaxing than taking a long, hot shower on a winter day. But this is seriously damaging to your skin! Make the switch to lukewarm water and cut your showers to under 10 minutes to maintain your skin’s natural moisture and oils. This will save your skin in the long run, trust me!
Ugh. I don’t even want to begin talking about those flaky patches where skin is thinnest – especially on the elbows and knees.
