SPRING FOODS FOR FLAWLESS SKIN

Ahhhh, springtime is upon us. That means warmer weather, longer days, and yummy foods! And what’s better than munching on your favorite spring snacks? Enjoying them WHILE getting better skin! Here are 4 foods you should definitely be eating this spring for amazing skin:

Avocado.

Avocado

This tasty green food is a great source of vitamins C & E, which are both needed for healthy skin. Vitamin C supports collagen synthesis, giving your skin a firmer, smoother complexion, while vitamin E prevents those nasty free radicals from damaging your skin. Go ahead, eat that entire bowl of guacamole! I won’t judge.

Raspberries.

In my opinion, these little red berries are SO underrated. Did you know that raspberries help soothe inflammation and redness on your skin? They’re incredible! They also help tone your complexion as well (but don’t skip out on using your toner)! Toss a handful into your smoothie or sprinkle on top of your yogurt for a healthy, yummy, skin-glowing snack.

Tomato.

Sometime’s referred to as “nature’s sunscreen,” this juicy springtime food is one to put on your grocery list. Filled with the antioxidant lycopene, tomatoes help protect your skin from UV rays. When paired with Advanced Protection SPF 30, this combination can protect you from even the harshest rays! Tomatoes also help with anti-aging, as they help in fighting cellular damage and reddening of skin.

Sunflower seeds.

Nothing says a spring baseball game like sunflower seeds! These delicious seeds are packed with vitamin E, protecting your skin from damaging free radicals. Sunflower seeds are also a great source of copper – which is known to support metabolism, helping your cells produce energy. No need to feel guilty about indulging in this seasonal snack!

Will you be eating any of these foods this spring? -xo Kayla
