GLYCATION: WHAT IT IS AND HOW IT DAMAGES YOUR SKIN

Glyca-who? Glycation isn’t anything good. When you eat something with sugar, the sugar makes its way to your bloodstream. Once in your bloodstream, it attaches to proteins. The more sugar that attaches, the more proteins begin to become damaged. SO BASICALLY when you’re 35 you will be more prone to even more sagging and wrinkles than usual. Not okay.

High glycemic foods, or foods high in saturated fats, are ones to be avoided. That means less chips, white bread, ketchup and even fruit juice. I drink orange juice like crazy for breakfast. Anyone else want to cut back with me?

        Deal 😀 I’ll let you know how it goes. For me it’s especially bad when I’m stressed. And I got a lot on my mind right now with school. But I’m gonna buy some healthy snacking, like fruits and nuts

          That’s a really good idea to buy those snacks ahead of time. I usually end up munching on chocolate but it looks like I’ll be heading to the healthy aisles next time…
